Big Other Contributors’ News, #14

Tim Jones-Yelvington will participate in this weekend’s Orange Alert reading series, co-sponsored this month by Monkeybicycle. 6:00 PM at the Whistler, 2421 North Milwaukee, Chicago. Other readers include Anne Valente, Brandon Will, Amanda Marbais, Charlie Nadler and Michael Czyzniejewski.

John Madera reviewed Brian Evenson’s Baby Leg for The Collagist.

Shya Scanlon has work in the new issues of Puerto del Sol and Monkeybicycle, and in the new Flatmancrooked anthology Not About Vampires. He is also giving away free copies of the PDF of his poetry collection In This Alone Impulse to anyone willing to video record themselves reading one of the poems and posting it to YouTube.

Davis Schneiderman will be performing his collaborative story with Kelly Haramis, “Backatcha,” at the Artifice Magazine release party on Sat, Feb 27. CHICAGO (2/27/10): A release party and fundraiser at Loft 3A. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Free beer and wine!
