This photograph was taken by the Chinese photographer Chen Man. I discovered her work at the China Design Now exhibit, which has been traveling but which I saw at Portland’s art museum. This image was what first inspired me to glue sequins to my face for live readings.
I think Chen Man’s photographs are absolutely stunning. A few more of my favorites after the cut.
