I’m going to look through my records, but I thought I’d ask here as well, in case anyone has suggestions. A playwright friend of mine wants to try publishing excerpts from his unpublished/unproduced plays…. Thanks!

i wish more would. we did one at abjective last year… http://www.abjective.net/049.html
You know, it’s not something we have an official category for, but if the right thing came along, I’d certainly consider it. I wish more journals published plays or parts of plays.
It occurred to me while reading this post that it would be nice if your playwright friend could find a few actors to stage-read parts of the play, and post the videos somewhere (blogs, vimeo, etc).
Midway Journal makes a big point of it.
Knock – http://www.knockmagazine.com/
Beautifully designed magazine and some great work!
The Emerson Review does when a play strikes our fancy. Submit under fiction here: http://emersonreview.submishmash.com/submit
Puerto del Sol is always looking very actively for drama.
Uncanny Valley is less likely to take it but will happily consider.
I think Alaska Quarterly Review publishes drama, Adam.
Eleven Eleven (www.elevenelevenjournal.com) publishes 1-2 plays each issue.
