May I use the photo of Jean-Baptist Pointe du Sable to promote a free screening of the movie, du Sable to Obama: Chicago’s Black Metropolis. We plan to use it in email, a flyer and social media invitations?
Hi Pat, I’m afraid the photo isn’t mine—I stole it off the web. Although since this is the second time I’ve gotten a request like this, maybe I’ll mosey on over to the statue and snap my own picture of it. If so, I’ll replace this one, and you can feel free to use the one I take (if you like it).
