I wonder how much it would cost to typeset a novel.
As a contrast to the immediacy and flexibility within WordPress or “the blog”, it makes me consider my relationship to the word and how mediums for delivery may not change it.
It’s difficult to imagine blogs ever attaining the kind of romantic gloss now associated with movable type presses and other early examples of mechanical reproduction. All that metal and grease lent to the task of recreating ideas. Though the alternative is, I suppose, even more implausible.
