Flash is Better and Better and Better…

New Diane Williams flash fiction in my November 2009 Harper’s. They had John Edgar Wideman a while back, Martone, others.

Know why?

Because flash fiction is here, to stay, so deal. Deal, people. It will exist in this world like noble, slow, wise, proud, nervous mahogany. I do mean solid.

  1. I like the image. Looks photoshopped to my eyes, but there’s still a strangeness to it.

You know, I think that the major conglomerates’ dwindling interest in print media may result in the remaining periodicals, if they run fiction at all, returning to the short shorts.

It’s funny how these things come and go in waves.
